Magog River Gorge Walkway
Generating mechanical then hydroelectrical energy, the Magog River gorge is the cradle of Sherbrooke’s industrial development. It’s located in the heart of downtown and its network of museums and linked to the Lac-des-Nations Boardwalk. Footbridges overhang the dams, and paths were built to increase the natural quality of the area. Observation lookouts allow visitors to admire the exceptional panorama. While exploring the area, stop for a picnic on the Frontenac station patio, the oldest hydroelectric installation still in operation in Quebec.
Paton-Frontenac sector (temporarily closed)
Crossing the river through accessible infrastructure, the Paton-Frontenac trail takes visitors into the heart of a formidable natural geographical formation (not accessible in winter). Entrances: rue Richmond, rue Cliff and rue Frontenac (porte des Fabriques)

Frontenac Dam
This portion of the trail crosses the Magog River on the Frontenac dam, highlighting this geographic jewel that is the Magog gorge. In the summer season, it is possible to visit the Frontenac Power Station, one of the oldest hydroelectric power stations still in operation in Quebec. The trail goes to up to Cliff street, just a short walk from Winter Prison. Entrances: rue Frontenac (porte des Fabriques) and rue Cliff
